Mer and Der at board (for the 1st time in 50 mins)and probably only b/c shes mad at Xtina... GA score that plays in all their romantic moments since S1 starts....
He gives her advice and she actually appears to be listening. he thinks he should talk to her. apparently they are in a fight b/c yangie didnt pick mer.

Der: They don't tell you when you become a Dr its gonna be like this. They dont tell u any of that.. You lose more patients than you save.. 16 ( hollys age).. and something something death

George is not sure if more jealous of alex or worried about iz... thinks there is something wrong... hope george is one to save her tumor ridden brain..

Yang and WOW! Izzie in scrubs! At the hospital! Talking about sex - saying its best sex anyones ever had... says shes not going to get surgery but she is having great sex.... back to twitter laptop lady. trying to get her to try to talk, that is her problem.. her husband freaks b/c she immediately opens laptop and starts tweeting. he burst NO no more laptop no more post its.... Lexie suggest he give her space. Hes not into it...

Sadie goes to chief and tells him mutilation was her fault... AHA chief says we both know who your father is and that is why u are still here. If I were u I'd be worrying about making up for it not ( btw the lines) telling me what I already know.
Yang and AssBurger. Ass is getting all wet over braindead hollys organs. She says people are dying as they speak while hollys family mourns....

Yang goes to board where crew is waiting with bated breath... grabs sharpie, starts to write... Karev.. wtf... he can barely suture. Chief asks about choice Yang says he made the right case. Mer looks P to the I to the double S to the E to the D

She is explaining her criterias to try to pick who gets to chop the leg...

Sadie continues to hit on Callie with a lecherous look in her eyes .. that makes Sloan look like a puddy cat. You could mop the floor with their panties with the looks of things....

George tries to be a big boy and confront Alex RE: crazy Izzie... I mean, we all have sex with ourselves but at least we know it! G tries to tell Alex something is wrong with her... Alex just having recovered from Ava, Interrupted is not having it... AT ALL

How many K's of therapy is that one sentence going to require?

Dr. Assburger bursts in like a raincloud. Robotically says her brain is dead she has no thoughts, feelings, emotions, and I will be harvesting her organs as soon as the parents give the ok.. They look up, teary eyes, from the bedside they have thrown themselves literally on... Cant we have more time? they ask

Burger gets all drooly and dreamy and starts talking about how fresh and young her organs are... Im thinking she wants them with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

Her sister keeps telling her to wake up. ASsburger keeps talking medical shit. The sister wants her to get out! Mer says, they get it, they get it, pls leave.... The one who wished her sister dead keeps screaming wake up holly....

they love the repetition on this show. Shonda should have been a pop song writer....

George walks up to Yang to try to suck ass to scrub in on solo while she is brushing her teeth. Tries to sell her the whoever I didnt kill makes me stronger line of Bullsh....

Sisters still making me have flashbacks... throwing things at each other...one needs a CT.. I smell a brain tumor... and regret as one says I hope you die... I'm sensing death and bitter miserable regret in THAT storyline within 25 minutes...

Yang finds Dr. Asburger...They are both really trying....Yang is stuttering... Burger wants to know if it's occassional or persistent and offers her a treatment... whoa she is treating Yang like the mental case... Guess she kinda is weirder than burger....

Opening Mono: My mother called it the greatest and most terrifying moment in her life... ( flashes of lexie, chiefs faces) Standing at the head of the surgical table, knowing that someone's life depended on you and you alone. ( Lexie + other interns looking for Alex) It's what we all dream about. because the 1st person who gets to fly solo in the er... kindof a badass ( chief holding court w/ our crew, lexie peeking, reporting.. "it's Karev... no stevens.. Izzie breaks Xtina's balls about being ineligible b/c of knowing about self mutilating interns) EWWW DDD is hanging out w/ Izzie at work! No ! it's grey! ( no)

Bailey puts them in their place: None of the interns are lipreaders... you have to wait for the attendings to vote, just like when I won.. Yes I won. I was good. I didn't cut LVAD wires.. my interns didn't perform surgery on themselves... I was specialk youn, special, and black! I just went about my work and waited for my name to be called.

Lexie comes back - Alex says shut up helen keller... they ask who is it... she says it's you and points... screen fades to white

Chief is saying 1st solo is below knee amputation. Not about just skill, but trust.... for 1st time, all attendings picked the same person... Yang.. (duh) but since she is banned, she will pick who it is... and b/c the interns are banned from surgery, she will also get to pick another res to scrub in... will post decision today

When Big Love comes back in Jan I might recap esp since in this economy I'm assuming not as many will be having the HBO this year. I am barely hanging onto it by a thread right now, and only b/c Comcast made it cheaper for me to have one movie channel than none. Huh. Whatevs though. Hello Blogger! In the Midnight Hour to 6th break

Residents waiting for Bailey to see what she is going to say to interns. Bailey says no, I raised my babies. These are your babies. If I raised you right and I know I did, then you will come up with your own speeches. All in room. Interns reporting her status. Lexie admits the whole we compromised your care by blah blah.

Our crew is in a line against the window wall, they have arms crossed and look like a well oiled machine of terrifying.

Mer: Effective immediately every intern here is on probation, So much as sneeze and you're done.

Yang: None of you will see the inside of an Or until further notice

George: You've lost the chiefs respect which is not an easy thing to get back.

Alex: And speaking for myself you've lost my respect and you're never going to get that back..

Intern mumbles.. You still respect Izzie Stevens.
Alex: What did you say

Intrern repeats and addded and she killed a man. Alex grabs his collar and shoves him up against the wall. She was trying to save a mans life. You almost killed someone for fun it's different.

Izzie overhears

Bailey checks on Morphine Callie. They talk about the craziness of the interns, but remembering the excitement and desire to operate. Bailey feels like surgery has become rote, doesn't remember most of them, like autopilot. She needs a new challenge.

Callie is tired too. Se wants,something,... Bailey says that makes 2 of us

Closing Mono: Sleep is the easiet thing to do. Just close your eyes. ( Sloan carries sleeping girl to bed) (Mer bitches out Sadie and says as a doctor she questions her ability to even do it well and as her friend wtf is going on w/ her. Sadie doesnt know.) But for so many of us, sleep seems out of our grasp. (Der thanks Sloan. Sloan reminisces about how his mom would take him to Ders when he was tired and lonely to sleep over in a house with a big family. That was a good thing. Looks at hudddled humiliated terrified Lexie, So either you take her home or I will.) We want it, but we dont know how to get it. ( Xtina comes home to find Hunt on her doorstep. She invites him in, he say that would be inappropriate. She asks if he wants to go someplace else. He says nothing so she sits on steps with her. He tells her he thinks shes beautiful.) But when we face our past, face our fears) Mer comes home sees Lexie and goes to see Der makes sure a bed is made for her. Says you brought home a stray.( And turn to each other for help. (Alex getting ready to go out. Izzie admits to Alex shes a flat out freaking mess and he deserves better. he says if she doesnt want to be with him, its too much for her, shes gonna have to break up with him. Because he's not going anywhere. he can handle the mess. And then invites her out. DDD stands dejected in hallway. Izzie apologizes to denny for going out. He says hell be right there.)

Nightime isn't so scary, because we realize we aren't all alone in the dark.

In the Midnight Hour to 5th break

Interns sitting in hallway convinced they are going to jail. George wants to know why Lexie didn't come to him. She says this is the last thing she had done in months that wasn't about getting him to notice. Someone says, Dude, she's like in love with you how could you miss that? Lexie looks over catwalk to chief with that face. Izzie get paged 911 and DDD says hes not going newhere. Couple is being lovingish. He says hes been taking her crap for so long, now she can take some of his. Then he tells Alex that he is here for his wife, but he thinks it's best for their sex life if he is here for here from the lobby.

Back to night tremor guy. Looks like Der was right and Hunt and he are working in harmony. George is this guys parallel and says why is it his fault for not noticing. if you really have feelings for someone, if you really love them you should talk to them. Sloan says maybe she tried. We don't know what went on btw them, maybe words failed her. Sometimes words fail.

Girl is in lobby, Sloan says Dad will be out of surgery in over an hour, take a nap. Sloan tells her about his childhood, how his parents were always socializing and he would put on lights and TV but still couldnt sleep. It's hard to sleep when you dont feel safe in your own house isnt it? Takes her coffee. Says you are going to sleep. I am here, close your eyes. She rests her head on his shoulder and finally lets go. So sweet.

Chief to Mer and Xtina He is mad b/c he was finally sleeping. Mer can't believe it. Chief says they handled the crisis, the surgery, saved that girls live, and called for help right away. Makes mention of past desicions. Dumb Lexie burst in and thinks they are getting in trouble and blurts out that Xtina told her to shut it down yesterday Chiefs face changes - You knew about this! Yang says she only knew about sutures. mer says shedidnt know. Starts screaming at Yang. Yang thought she had handled it. Mer blames Xtina for Sadie almost dying and Lexie almost losing her job. Xtina says Sadie did to herself and she doesnt even like lexie. Tells her she is not an attending just sleeping with one. Is it always about Derek? Mer asks. Xtina says no that mer wasnt there for her in that room. She has a relationship to the chief, he listens to her. Xtina said she should have said something to defend her. Let her take all the blame and out of running for solo. They all failed to supervise their interns,and if Sadie had died would have been on all of them too.

In the Midnight Hour to 4th break

Mer and Xtina furiously working on Sadie. NO code team b/c not in an or in the middle of the night, Mer sends Lexie to page chief and take that crazy look of her face.

Sloan and Der. Sloan talks about kid being tired must be scary going to bed at night not knowing what you're going to wake up to. Der says sounds like living w. Mer. Sloan says he never thought about Lexie until Der planted seed.

Alex gets stomach girl to say " I believe that you believe it was a pimple thats the best I can do." Her husband goes "NO POOP FOR YOU!!" and goes to walk out. Alex stops him and says she can lie and tell u what u want to hear but shes not. shes telling u whats real for her. stop walking away. she says she still think it could be stomach cancer and when she gets a headache she thinks its a brain timonsometimes she feels for lumps in her breas and then he heart starts racing and she thinks its a heart attack. The world is a scary place A million things that could kill you. I dont get how u dont see that. ( Time to order a psych consult).

Intern comes up to Bailey. Says emergency in outpatient surgery but wont say what just please please come.

Night tremor guy and sexy der: They want to run tests think has epilepsy problem is way worse than he is aware of. He says no, he just needs to take his pills and he forgot them. Girl says no he didnt forget he took them when he brushed his teeth, put her to bed, and woke up screaming. Like he has always done since ( I cringe to type this) his wife died. I try to stay awake at night because I can usually talk you back to bed but I must have fallen asleep that night. She thinks that the nightmares caused by stress and she is his stress and he takes care of her so well during the day and she feels that she has to take care of him at night. Humanized Sloan tells her nightmares not cause by stress but epilepsy. So its not my fault she asks? No, honey. Hugs

Izzie and Dear Dead Denny, who henceforth will be known as DDD. She wakes up alone. Screams his name he appears in doorway. She yells that she thought he had left her alone again.

Izzie: You died and you left me here I was left here by myself. You left me all alone. Why why did you come back I got over you I have a job and a life and a boyfriend and I am in this room with you all day probably talking to myself probably going crazy and there is a real world out there and I am stuck in here with you."


DDD: I'm sorry I died

Izzie: NO. Screw You! NO You don't get to apologize for dying! You don't get to apologize for dying because I killed you! I convinced you to let me cut the LVAD and I killed you! So you don't get to apologize for dying. Dead people don't apologize.

They sit next to each other in silence until he says I love you and she says the same.

Bailey wants to know wtf is going on w/ Sadie. Lexie admits it was her ID. Stitches they did came off. She is systolic and really bleeding I am betting on Xtina saving her life and therefore Sadie will stop hating on her. Mer and Xtina ROCK. Lexipedia is realizing she's not as cool or knowledgable as she thought.

In the Midnight Hour to 3rd break

Open to the intern surgery Sadie wants to see and they get her mirror. her appendix is inflamed. One intern panics and wants to call a resident. Sadie tells her to leave if she cant handle it. Shes gone, baby, gone.

Cut to little girl w/ night tremor dad. Sloan wants to check his stiches. Little girl starts talking to him, asks him to apologize to Der, because if she had been able to get him back to bed, she sometimes can talk him back to sleep. Sloan says but this hasnt happened for a while...right? yeah right. Sloan wants to know last time she slept. She just said shes not tired.

Lady with stomach pain. She has been diagnosing herself using the internet, bought antibiotics from overseas to treat a staff infection her ass husband thought was a pimple. and her doctor. and after she took the drugs they went away. Ass says pimples do that. Alex says now she has killed all the healthy bacteria in her body and now she has CDIF and they need to give her new healthy bacteria. He tells her what they have to do..She screamsPOOP! I need a POOP TRANSPLANT! EWW it goes up her nose into tummy~ Alex goes on to say the donor has to be someone who shares the same germs every day, like, um a spouse. OMG he says he will not shit in a cup for her until she admits it was a pimple then walks away.... ROFL

Intern who ran out of surgery club is double fisted with chocolate. Xtina and Mer are suspicious, no one has seen other interns. She screams she doesnt know anything and runs, but not b4 they take her candy. Mer says Sadie says the idiots have skill lab. Mer tries to talk to Alex about Izzie. he says he has to go give his crap patient some crap.

Lexie approaches mer she looks TERRIFIED. Xtina walks in on Stinky with charts. he is in a bed and the chart is covering his stomach he refuses to go with her when she says she needs him. He says he cant walk due to the epidural...

Cut to Izzie and Denny poistcoital. She remarks she can hear his heart beating but she knows they took it out for the autopsy. He keeps insisting it's real.

Quote Worthy Izzie: I'm just gonna keep my eyes closed. Because this is like that moment in the morning when you first wake up and your still half asleep and everything seems- things are possible dreams feel true and for that one moment between waking and dreaming anything can be real and then you open your eyes and the sun hits you and then you realize - I'm just gonna keep my eyes closed."


Blood all over scrubs and table. Panicked interns. Mer and Xtina burst in scrubbed up to hear intern say "This isn't good - I think she's dying!"

In the Midnight Hour to 2nd break

Interns are plotting and planning. Mer is suspicious asks if they are looking for something making faces.

The chick from What I Like About You is is the one with pain in her pain her ass husband tells Alex she thinks she has cancer b/c of internet, but she has crazy disease. Alex checks her appendix and is disappointed.. they order test.

Sloan is fixing Callies nose. Not pretty. She says you will still be my friend, have sex when I want. He strokes her face and says when your face heals. HA

Der and Hunt in consult w/ nightwalker. It started when his wife died.. (Hi Finn!) Says he went to sleep clinic got one of the azepam's ( I'm a fan of all of them, diazepam, lorazepam, etc). Daughter really scared.

Lexie runs into Sloan in supply room wants to know where interns are. She act flustered. Der sees them together Sloan says he did not invite her in there. stop looking at me like that

Xtina and Bailey and Mer on appendix surgery.

Intern Surgery Club all set up ready to go. Sadie says something Mer told her about Lexie in confidence about smiley face posters and how she sadie likes them. She is so going to fuck up things w/ them.

Lexie says It's a great day to save lives people, even though your life is fine and it's nighttime.. But Shepher always says that.
She chokes and starts doing the nervous babbling thing...Sadie makes the incision herself. Challenges: Or you could just take out my appendix

In the Midnight Hour to 1st break

Opening Monologue over Seattle at night, which according to my friend who grew up there, more whitebread than diverse as Shonda would have us believe.

Mer: "When you're little, nighttime is scary because there are monsters hiding right under the bed. When you get older, the monsters are different. Self-doubt (image:Xtina in surgery , loneliness ( Image: I can't tell who lying on floor w/ nosebleed looks like callie but not enough to make me think its her confusing), regret ( Lexipedia clutching her knees and rocking on floor). And though you may be older and wiser, you still find yourself scared of the dark."

Izzie and He who shall not be named in her room arguing she is saying shes crazy and hes "Im a dead man who lives you, you touched me. OMG wants to test it by doing the deed.... Yes folks, ABC has officially crossed over to the dark side... A little necrophilia with your evening glass of red anyone?? OMG. Creepy and not hot. Mucvh like all Izzie's sex scenes.

Stormy, Xtina walking in to hospital he starts to talk to her clearly wants to discuss kiss.. she gives tude, then asks how she beat the ambulance.

Sadie walks into Mer in the bathroom reading then discussing dear dead mommys journal and saying that she thinks she would have liked her if she wasnt her child. Reminds her of Xtina. Sadie is jealous says xtina is not funny, Mer says to give her a chance, we need allies....

Xtina and Alex fighting over who gets to scrub in at 3 am. LOL they all showed up b/c it was an appendectamy, the surgery of choice for the solo surgery

Intern Surgery Fight Club. They gave stinky 2 an epidural. Sadie walks in mad she was not invited. stinky pees himself. Sadie tells Lexie Mer said she was a priss which is a lie... Sadie and Lexie cook up an idea to remove his appendix. Sadie offers it up as long as she gets to do one of them next.


Sloan and Callie :guy who fell out of window clearly represents callie. Fell out of window b/c of night terrors.

Dixon waiting to get on elevator. Bailey comes up to her, tells her what an excellent job she did. Dixon starts talking about the heart and how much she loves it, ohhhhh she has Asberger's Syndrome. She says she is not good w/ sarcasm but can tell when being made fun of. Says she doesn't like hospital that much, not at all. Baliey feels bad. Der talking to Sloan about keeping little Sloan away from little Grey. Lol he says that's innacurate - big Sloan. Denny catches Izzie as she goes home. She tells him,


Izzie:
I love you, I will always love you. You own a piece of me. So even though you'll be gone, you will never be forgotten, not by me,. Im sorry we never got our chance I'm sorry we never got to get married or have children or grow old together. I wanted that so much. I wanted to be your wife more than anything. He asks why telling him. She says I'm trying to let you go so your soul can be at peace. he says I have peace. I'm here for you. She says goodbye Denny, I love you, but goodbye.

Xtina catches onto interns arms and all their wounds. Tells them to shut it down.

Alex looing for izzie. She is clutching Dead Denny sweater. He says let me help you, he sees her struggling. Whatever it is, he can help, he says, so let him. She asks him to burn sweater for her.

Cut to Joe's bar. Callie, Xtina, and Sloan, Hunt by himself. Xtina looks at him, Der and Mer in bed reading. Der wants to know stories she won't let Sadie tell him. Der says was nice to see her stand up for Lexie and how he told Sloan to stay away. So he gets a story. Xtina runs out after Hunt, apologizing for lost patient. He gets in her face repeating I don't need you to be sorry then looks like he's going to go all True Blood on her but kisses her like he's going to swallow her whole huge head instead of biting her.

Closing Mono: The ties that bind us are sometimes impossible to explain (burning sweater) they connect us even after it seems like the ties should be broken. Some bonds defy distance and time and logic. (Izzie walks into room and Denny is sitting there, being annoyed he burned sweater. Tells her to stop freaking out.,He is there for her.( Is this her brain tumor?) Tells her to touch him. He is solid. Oh man. They kiss.)

Opens up on pretzel and his titanium leg surgery. Sloan compliments callie.

Heart guy - he's ok with just his own heart. He says he's finally free, not haunted Nemore. Dixon says b/c heart had 6 years to rest and healed itself. He says you have your beliefs, I have mine.
Chief comes into pretzel - they are doing really well. Dr. Yang gets complimented on how good Lexie's stitches r. LOL. Crashing.. sad music...

Izzie with heart for Heart guy. She wants to know what to do with the haunted piece. He says brun it, he can't touch it, including belongings. Can't cleanse fabric, spirit to cling to it. It looks like it's time to get rid of the dear dead Denny sweater. And it was so fetching!!.

Pretzel guy dies on table. Callie is extra sad b/c of Erica.She starts yelling about how she built his bones and all that they had to do was keep him alive. She starts repeating, I made his bones, and crying hysterically. No, not about her failed twicebianism or nething, really about the bones.

Open to Mer and Der talking, Mer wants Der to tell Sloan to step off flirting with little Grey. No, not that little grey.

Sloan and Callie at board, he asks her if shes OK.

Back to spiritual ritual heart dude. Izzie is being v. helpful, guy wants to know why she is so interested. She starts talking about Denny to him and he asks if he is here right now, the ghost. Now guy doesn't want her on surgery, doesn't need extra ghosts in his operating room.
Der telling pretzel guy he is slowly bleeding to death. Hunt is trying to talk him into surgery. Der tells him about a free rehab halfway housey thingy.

Bailey telling Dixon about this and that RULE to deal w/ her, mainly to give the heart to the guy so he can do his rituals on it to cleanse whatever. Bailey's got her - it works, all she has to do is say it's a rule.

Gallery - Izzie ignoring Denny. He says she's acting like she doesn't want hi to be there. She says she'd have given nething to see him one more time, looking at him and knowing she can't touch him is hurting her. Means she's sick b/c he can't be real and how can she hope for that. he tells her he is ar real as her, to touch him. She won't, wants to know why he is there. Callie looking at guys Xrays trying to figure out how to build new legs. Mer's friend is a new intern. Xtina snippy w/ her.

Bailey asing chief to wish religious and spiritual beliefs of patients, b/c of heart guy and Dr. Dixon. Says she understands rules, not common courtesy.

Xtina runs up to Dixon, starts kissing ass. Dixon asks her if she is on her case, if not why r u talking to me. Now Xtina misses Hahn. LOL. Callie says shes def not coming back, Xtina says why, not like shes ure Gfriend... Sloan and Callie look uncomfortable. They talk about it, Sloan calls Callie a Oncebian.
Der tries to talk to mer. She ust says, Really? And asks Lexie if she's ok. They think she's mutilating herself hahaha.

Hunt and pretzel guy. He wants to die in peace. Der is in doorway, catches Hunt with some seriously empathetic bedside manner RE: being a soldier w/ the homeless pretzel, saying he couldn't connect.

Lexie wants to shut down business. Mer's friend is there. Mer's friend is new queen B around here among interns in like five minutes. She takes her scrub shirt off and cuts her shoulder, asking who wants to stitch her up. She's got an accent btw.

Back to pretzel guy, screaming blue murder. Guy instructs them to get their hands off them. Tells him they are just trying to keep him alive.

Bailey and Dr. Autixon. She is spouting facts. Alex is telling her about case.

Izzie and Older native American man Denny is hanging out in background. Guy hates that his heart came from a girl killed hitchhiking.. He is freaking out about having part of someone else's body sewn into his chest, Denny is yelling to them. Dr. Dixon tells the guy he'll die a sudden and agonizing death and he stops talking about having the heart removed.

Lexie and Interns have a hangout space, tells George to go find his own.

Back to pretzel, He is talking about how much he walks every day..Oh, he's homeless. If he can't walk, he's screwed, says don't want surgery unless it will make him walk. They have to listen.

Native American guy and Dixon talking. Izzie says something. Denny is still hanging out with her.

Sloan and Der arguing w/ Hunt about leaving pretzel there to die. Der asks callie to build man legs. Urgh.

Open: Izzie and Ale in bed, waking up.
OPening Mono: It's intense, what happens in the OR. When lives are on the line and you're poking at brains like they're silly putty ( izzie takes dead denny sweater from closet and sniffs it like a K9 looking for drugs.) You form a bond w the surgeons right next to you. ( Cut to Callie lying alone in bed looking at empty pillow)An unbreakable, indescribable bond. It's intimate, being tied together like that. Whether you like it or not, whether you like them or not, you've become family. ( Xtina barges in on Mer and Der waking up, says Hahn is gone)
Der opens door to tall blond, who goes running into bed w/ Mer calling her some nonsense name. They start giggling. Xtina feels super left out. Xtina bitches to Der about it. LOL)

Hospital. Mer and Blond continue their lovefest. Girls name is Sadie.

LOL. Izzie is doing the Denny stand outside and stare thing, tells Ale the oft repeated "Gimme a minute" He acknowledges the case bringing up blah blah and kisses her.


Lexie covers up her track marks from practicing w/ other interns. Alex starts telling Xtina about new head of cardio.

Dr. Hunt helps tina on w/ her yellow thingy that goes over scrubs. Xtina asks Callie about Hahn and she won't discuss.

Pull up ambulance. Guy impaled on himself. Human pretzel - he was in dumpster when began to get crushed. Hunt asks Der for help.
Bailey and Chief, he wants her to Woo Dr. Dixon. Chief says shes a little off.(Dixon)


Dfr. Dixon looks like Red riding hood. The lady seems either OCD or Autistic. HUH.

Back to pretzel guy. Getting ready to pull leg out of his chest. Gross sounds. Horror movie sounds. Guy was unconscious but wakes up and starts screaming when leg comes out of his chest... Really, reallyloud.

Rise Up to 6th break

Sloan is flirting with Xtina again. She still isn't responding. He wants to know what her deal is. He's been hitting on her all day. She starts laughing. He screams out that it was Shepherds idea. LOL. Says Xtina is not single malt scotch but cheap red wine.

McbadAss is not sure he'll be staying. everyone disrespectul and caugth up in their personal lives.

Bailey found the room of cadavers. Says it's gross, treat them with respect not laying half open and forgotten about. Tells them to close them up, cover them up, and put them back. NOW.

Wife of beating victim is there. McBD wants her to know they are people, have names, etc. She closes door behind her, sits down, tells him dad died when they were in car accident, how her hands felt his heart stop beating. That's why she does this. That's why she wins the contests. The patients name is Tom.

Poor old guy walks out alone. George brings STAN back to life and cheers. LOL. Nice job says mcbd. george says tks, just a robot. McBD leans into robot and says he wants to take back what he said about leaving. George looks up and realizes chief is talking for STAN. Lexie walks into interns doing IV practice and joins in. Xtina and Mer lying on bed, Der comes in. Huh. Callica walking out, says went to Chief about Izzie and he shut her down. Erica says is going to report it to UNOS. Callie gets mad. Going to call UNOs and cost her her career, the hospitals status as transplant center... Callie says unless u were there u can't make a judgement...She says there is no kindof here, you can't kindof be this, that, and you can't kind of be a lesbian. Callie says Yes I can. LOL. Izzue and Denny..Izzie tells him he can't be there, she has to move on. Why she had that patient.. Denny disappears, Alex shows up.. She is happy and relieved to see him, her present....Then Denny shows back up again, and says, R u sure you're gonna be ok??

Closing Mono: We r born, we live we die. Sometimes not necessarily in that order. We put things to rest, only to have them rise up again..Life is the most fragile, unstable, unpredictable thing there is. In fact, there's only one thing about life we can be sure about... it ain't over till it's over

Rise Up to 5th break

Opens back up in old couples room, same scene...Bailey ttries to make him stop pushing on her chest, he pushes her away...

Back into heart surgery, trying again... Izzie is talking to guy, doing good job...Sees Denny. He is smiling. Guy is losing consciousness. Close up shot of Denny.

Xtina and Alex fighting over beat up guy. Lexie yelling at Xtina cuz won't let her do anything.

MCbadAss yells at the three of them. and tells them to get out of there, saying they have no respect and act like vultures. Damn he's an ass.

Back to old guy. He is breathing in oxygen or something from Bailey. They are saying the second he stops doing what he's doing her heart will stop and he says he doesn't want to let her die.....Bailey takes over.

Izzie and Denny lock eyes. izzie starts talking to heart guy again... Doing good again. He finally breathes a huge breath...It worked.

Back to old man, Bailey finally stops..

Rise Up to 4th break

Ext Seattle. Lady made it through surgery, Der telling husband not sure how she will respond, and she might not make it through the night. Husband says waiting is hardest part, kneels at her bedside, holds her hand. Im crying.

Mer finds Izzie, asks her is hiding from Hahn. Mer tells her to go talk to her. Izzie says she can't even look at the guy, it's her fault he's here.

McBadAss and Xtina working on beat up guy. Callie is babbling, oversharing. Sloan comes in, Xtina has to scrub out. Xtina wants to know why Lexie smells like death. Xtina gets excited, trades Alex something for a couple cadavers. Nobody will let Lexie do anything. Mer tells Izzie how she saw Denny and Mom and Kyle. Izzie asks, today? Mer says no, when she was dead.

Izzie stands outside of heart guy's room, and apologize to Hahn. Hahn is making Izzie be there if he does another procedure. Guy has decided not too.

Izzie says if you die, she will not get over it, she will not move on, she'll think she can then all the sudden she'll almost think she can see you, touch you and all this will happen all over again...

Old lady's husband is freaking out. She's coding and he is reconsidering DNR. Tells guy nothing more they can do. Husband starts talking to her....Crying... Very very sad. I'm crying again,.. He starts doing cpr and says don't leave me, stay with me rosie over and over.... omg the monitor starts beeping again... Oh I'm a mess now...

Rise up to 3rd break

Hahn and Mer walking down hall. Mer tells Hahn Izzie has a history w/ Denny Duquette. Hahn wants to throw her off her service, wants mer to tell him to find her.

Bailey and Der working on sweet old lady's brain. Tumor starts hemmorhaging. Bailey telling Der how marriage counseling is waste of time.

Alex wants to know if mer has nething he can scrub in on. Xtina grabs her and tells her how McBadAss hates her, worse than Hahn. Sloan comes on to Xtina again, and again gets shut down.

Lexie got the other onterns cadavers to practice on. Gross.

Hahn asks Callie about the heart thing. Callie tells her the whole story, the engagement, the LVAD.

Alex drags Izzie to a bunch of cadavers for practice, thought it would cheer her up.

Izzie: It's like a bouquet of corpses."

Then Lexie walks in and says, "hey these are for interns. Alex yells - go play with the dummy.

The dummy is bleeding newhere and tells George hes surprised the intern exam. Chief has been controlling what the thing says LOL.

Hahn walks in and freaks out about what izzie did and her patient. Chief says stop we're not bringing this up. Chief shuts her down, says it's in the past. Hahn says is not in past for her, b/c her patient is about to die.... Damn...

Rise Up to 2nd break

Open on Hahn and Mer, Mer asks if shes freaking out, patient is in Denny's old room... Izzie asks Mer how much Denny she is experiencing.

George hates the STAN. STAN tells Alex his bedside manner sucks. LOL. Now George loves him.

Beat up guy is really bad. McBadAss is being a total dick to Xtina.

Der and Bailey. Der is saying surgery is risky to lady in bed w/ her husband w/ her. they are older couple. Signing DNR order. The two say goodbye to each other, kiss. It's sweet.

Lexie in morgue. Wants to know what happens to the unclaimed bodies. Says some are preserved for medical reasons, i.e. med students to practice on gross. The guy turns around and notices Lexie is pretty.

Callie is telling McBadAss her opinion of the 2nd year res's in terms of picking for solo surgery. Starts to gossip and he stops her.

Yang paged Mark for consult. He is trying to flirt w/ her. Doesn't work.

Back to Denny heart guy. Hahn tells Izzie she was chosen to work on case b/c she connects well w/ patients. Guy is really upset. Izzie doing a crappy job talking to him, Oh and right on cue there's Denny... He looks upset. Izzie is not talking to the guy at all, just staring @ Denny.She says shes sorry and runs out of room.

Opening Monologue: If you're a normal person, one of the few things you can count on in life is death.

Bailey says chief is going to choose one of them to do a solo surgery.

Introducing us to guy w/ whose heart she "stole" Mer repeats date as reading file... realizes was the heart Denny got.

Der to Mark in elevator telling him he needs him to have sex w/ Xtina to distract her. lol

Lexie catches interns practicing doing IV's on each other.

Guy comes in on gurney w/ all sorts of issues got run over after beat up or something...McBadAss gives Xtina a hard time.

Xtina standing against catwalk. Tells McBadAss she won't kill the pigs after she spent all day trying to keep them alive. He repeats all the medical stuff she did. He says do you have any idea how much you just learned...To keep them alive inhumane

She says seriously u don't remember my name. He says he does, but that was from b4.

He says he was part of a 20 unit ambush and he was the only one who lived. Thats what he means by b4, thats why he is here. living in the after...

Callie walks in to Erica's office. tells her she slept w/ mark sloan... says u were crying and seeing leaves but I wasn't. I will never see leaves. But I will also see flowers, who knows maybe a whole forest. Then tells her she wants to be with her but truth is she slept w/ Mark Sloan 2x today...Hahn says ok

Mer and Chief. Chief admits not imagining things, talks about how mer used to bring the doll around everywhere.. Tori/Molly has a whole army. mer only had Anatomy Jane. He feels responsible. She is a living reminder of every failure in his life. Would apologize if he thought it meant nething to her...

Lexipedia and Xtina... Xtina doesn't want to do it... Pedia says don't let them suffer.

Callie and Sloan, Callie tells him they can't sleep together for a while, then invites him for a drink. Says he's not only good for sex. She asks if she's gonna cry every time, Sloan says no, it passes..

Back to Tori/Molly.. Bailey tells Hahn she's good at shooting down all their ideas, where are hers. Chief says get over yourselves! Shut up and talk to each other. Bailey wants to know about using human umbilical vein... Hahn says could work. Bailey wants to do it.

Izzie and McBadAss. Izzie says we don't have to torture live creatures... They argue... "You want me to learn anything from you, then don't stab a pig in front of me and tell me the sky isn't blue!"

Xtina and interns find cause of bleed in pig, work diligently to fix it. Back and forth from pig to girl.

Waiting for each to see if going to beat, blood to start pumping.. Both are (surprise!!) a success....

Sloan and Callie Sloan telling her he's never known a woman to be upset b/c she could take a curtain call...

She tells him Erica cried after sex. Tells him sex is awesome w/ Erica but also awesome w/ him. She thought there should be a difference... Sloan says difference is I know you had sex with her 12 hours ago. She doesn't know you had sex w/ me. Do you want to be a cheater? Cuz I'm fine with it...?? is are you???

Der walks in, Callie hides under covers... Der says going to yell at McBadAss invites Sloan. Says Hey Torres...

Der approaches General Hunt McBadAss... Here we get the "what you did was almost maim a guy for the rest of his life" line ( "Almost" was not in the preview, and they showed it after they showed him holding what looked like a saw... tricky)

Sloan tells him he would have asked the 2 world class surgeons offering help to dive in...

McBD wants to know what to do better, medically ( literally) He admits it's day one and rules are different in hospital than in Iraq.

Bailey and Hahn in Scrub. Bailey tells her today she was a PITA. And made it difficult for all of us... The great job they did wasn't thanks to you. That was thanks to me, and the chief, and Meredith grey, and Anatomy Jane.

Xtina: Babe is indestructible!! Calling them names to McBD... all pigs are alive despite medical medical complications...

Open on Tori/Molly's surgery. Medical medical. surgery going well. Oh no, something goes wrong.. Hangs another bag of blood.

Back to skill lab w/ Xtina and her interns. Her interns calling them cute names. Xtina tells them call him sausage, or proscuitto. lol. One pig starts to crash.

Back to Tori/Molly's surgery. Family watching anxiously in gallery. Girls father has called 18 times to talk to Chief. he finally goes. Der and Sloan are pissed about how McBadAss guided him to fix patient w/ only skin glue.

Chief is telling father not important u get an update. Interruptions, calls don't help them focus. Guy is saying how hospitals are impossible places to get information, and they've been in a lot of them, just trying to take care of his little girl. Chief tells him never to stop taking care of her.

Izzie and McBadAss... She wants to use stapler, he is trying to get her to name animals we have to thank for certain vaccines.. Brings up children of thalidomide, and now Billy Joel is stuck in my head...Izzie tells him to keep his stapler...

Hahn, Bailey, Mer and Chief discuss Molly/Tori. Lots of medical. They've been turned down by 3 hospitals. Mer looks at Anatomy Jane.

Der complains to Chief about McBadAss. Chief complaining that it was cuter when Mer dragged that doll around when she was five...

Hahn is against doing surgery, chief wants mer to put away doll, isn't playtime.

Mer is trying to figure out w/ doll way to make surgery work, taking organs out one by one..

McBadAss teaching Alex.

Meeting in conf. room w/ family. Going to remove organs and put on ice while take out tumor. Family not sure what to do, surgery never been done before. Chief tells them it's their only shot, father says then do it.

Xtina complaining to Bailey she's not Dr. Doolittle. Bailey says the Zebras and Elephants are thanking their lucky stars for that.

Mer and Chief. Mer wants to know why chief hasn't been able to look at her all day. He gets loud w/ denial, tells her to worry about 10 yr old and not whether or not he's looking at her... Reminiscent of an earlier seasons mer - Stop looking at me!

Opens back to skill lab. Izzie calls McBadAss a monster. She bows out.

Mer introduces Tori, the little girl with the inoperable tumor. She medical medicals it. Mer shows her anatomy Jane, explains the surgery to her w/ the doll.

Mother insists on having Hahn on team, or else they will leave.

Callie and Sloan in on call room. Wants straight normal sex. Not lessons, missionary boy on girl no two vaginas...


Back to skill lab. Xtina tells Lexie to stop petting pig. McBadAss asks her what he name is and brings her over to O'Malley's pig as example and tells her hers is bad. Then calls her Christine.

Little girl has been in a lot of things, can't place her. Little girl wants aunt and uncle in on surgery. They inject dye into tumor, something weird about tumor... OH SHIT. The little girl is Molly from Heroes on NBC.

Izzie freaking out to Der about McBadAss and the live pigs. Der says he is new head of trauma, roll w/ it. Izzie tells him he disgusts her.

Cloan r done having sex. Callie is pissed. That it was so good. Definitely not gay. Sloan says thank u would have been nice.

Hahn consulting on Tori/Molly. Says tumor is wrapped around five major arteries. Hahn doesn't want to get involved.

Skill Lab. Lexie is talking to pig...Xtina says get it together three.

McBadAss comes in trauma, six incoming.. is a crash. Sends everyone to trauma and leaves Xtina with all the pigs and tells her they better all be alive when he comes back. Damn he's mean...

We're in for another crazy episode tonight! 12 surgeries at the same time, all eyes on Seattle Grace Hospital. You know this pair will be! I'm turning down invites to go out left and right to live blog tonight.... And let's admit it, Greys is the one show that makes me distrust my DVR like it's a cheating spouse.... I know the bitch is gonna screw me over, and has before.... I just don't know when so I lord over the damn thing and watch to make sure it's doing what it's supposed to... One time it missed the first 7 minutes... You know what they say; screw me once, shame on you.... screw me twice, shame on me...

In other related news, Blogger is supposedly scheduling an outage for 8 pm tonight... Hopefully it will be over by the end of the first commercial....Until

An Original Grey Girl's Guide to the ABC Message Boards

Waiting to see what my ABC.com message board (MB) buddies have to say about tonight's Greys Episode. I might live blog it, I might go to a meeting instead... but the site is taking forever to load. I'm thinking I might check Television Without Pity (AKA TWOP in MB speak) to see what those girls have to say as well, since those boards are vigilant about going OT (Off-topic).

There used to be this awful troll (from wikipedia:"A troll is a user that repeatedly and intentionally breaches netiquette, often posting derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community to bait users into responding, often starting flame wars" on there called PinkBallerina, and her and her kind kindof soured me on the MB's for a while.

Basic Forum Rules as Found on Wikipedia, with my input after each:

* No swearing or otherwise vulgar language
- Meredith is an ugly cunt, not going to fly she is just ugly and annoying... that is OK....I wish we got to see Derek's Penis is not cool, instead say you wish you got to see Derek full-frontal ( and he was in some soft core porn with Lisa Bonet for those hardcore Dr. Shepherd shippers.)

* No insulting or harassing fellow members
- Do I need to explain this, bitches??

* No advertising or spam
-There used to be this chick who came on the MB's all the time and all she would ever post was, hey, come check out my SUUUUUPER-COOL Greys site!!!! Here's the link!!! That's what that is. I think I may have harassed and insulted her swearing and using vulgar language. My bad. Especially since I myself have blogged about Greys and the MB and gone on to say come check out my blog, I wrote about you! And I might even do it again, but at least I know I'm doing wrong.

* No double posting
- Double posting is DUH. Don't do it, and edit it out if you do by mistake b/c the page is slow to load and you are impatient with your clicky finger.

* No multiple accounts
- Old Stinky Pinky, as I liked to call her, had many many names that were usually something disturbing since she was a grown woman, like ILIKELITTLEBOUYS or BarbiesRGreat. My favorite ever was "IMNOTPINKB" There were many threads where the school age children of the thread compared the personal details she would leak out in different names over time in different threads to prove it was her and she still would never cop.... Like these five users all live at their parents with five cats and don't drive. OK. Usually trolls will give themselves away because their incindiary accusations and awful grammar often remain the same.

* No links or information on warez or copyright infringing material
- I had to look up Warez on Wiki too, "it refers primarily to copyrighted works traded in violation of copyright law. The term generally refers to illegal releases by organized groups, as opposed to peer-to-peer file sharing between friends or large groups of people with similar interest using a darknet." ( OK, now have to look up Darknet: "a closed private network of computers used primarily for file sharing.")

* Do not resurrect dead threads
- NUBES ( Newbies to the MBs) do this all the time by mistake. They don't realize when there are too many pages to a given thread(topic)the posters there have started a new one so that people don't have to scroll through 45 pages to find what people are saying now. By resurrecting a dead thread you will confuse many people and generally mess up the order of things on the MB. Speculation and Discussion group ( where I went after the Great Spoiler Thread Split of 2007) has hundreds of threads to our name. When the board is hopping ( like it probably is now, since it's only 2 hours to McDreamy AND McSteamy and all those fabulous one liners) you won't notice if you were posting on thread 557 or 558 and if some nube messes things up you could be posting all by yourself in a totally different land. We call that Lost SeriouslyJan always has this happen to her. We say Jan is "Lost in the old thread again" and send someone to go find her.


I clicked off the other tab where I was waiting for the board to load in my Wiki-Zeal. OMG there is Jan now on Windows Live Messenger - I'm going to go see what she has to input into this post. Oh Jan got kicked off. That happens to her a lot too. The MB finally loaded and I have been off it so long I don't even remember who it was they called "McBadAss" in still pics for episode 5.06. Is that even tonight? Or are these girls, as always, famously ahead of themselves? I used to know everything that was going to happen on Greys before it did, and had usually watched the best bits of the epi (episode) in clips. I mean, what happens on Greys might be brain surgery, but figuring out what is going to happen on Greys? Not so much. Especially since we all paid in for Sides which are released bits of epi that are one time characters that need to be auditioned for, so these people that don't get the role or interns have access to these scenes and sell them to the people who just can't get enough. Names are always changed for the recurring characters, but like I said before, it's no Neurosurgery... Or even Cardio-Thorassic. Because it's an ABC.com MB, the girls had to start a second site to talk about the sides because ABC is so not cool with that... In fact I think it's a bit illegal. (It wasn't me- I don't even have access to that site anymore, I swear~!)

Mer: Keeping a close eye on her. shes stable
Chief: come here. this man is dying. has a perfectly healthy donor kidney that wasnt droppped on floor... theres only so much we can do. forgive yourself

Patient w/ son : can't believe this didn't happen. thought this was his chance to get him back. Hasn't spoken to him in over a year took him months to find him... He knows hes rude, but life hasnt been easy for him, mother dead, etc..

Izzie: Some people are just broken ( pointed look at Alex) Try not to care too much, and u can't be disappointed.

Alex hands him discharge papers

Guy starts to cry... Apologizes to them...

Bailey hands jilted wife discharge papers.
The lady: he's taken everything, my love my pride my dignity, it's all gone. the one thing he doesn't have is the kidney. the thought of giving him that last part of me.
You must think I'm a terrible person.

Bailey: I'm not allowed to think anything. There are rules that prevent me from having an opinion here. Giving an organ not something you can be coerced into doing. It's a big thing, extraordinary, a gift that can be freely given. If you were to give it, it's not just for your husband. It's for five other people. People you don't know from Adam....


Music plays, lady hesitates...

Surgery going to go down! Six donors to go 1st! Chief: let's go make medical history....

to bailey: we're lucky that woman changed her mind... Bailey says yes and walks off

mer: I dont want the credit but the medical trial was my idea. I had to beg him to do it. more than 1x

I: it's ok you want the credit. I'd want the credit.

Yang: when you screw an attending you get screwed. they have all the power

Lexie: interns can screw interns....I mean. date.. interns can date b/c we're non threatening study said interns almost hardly file sexual harrassment claims b/c we feel so weak and powerless in the hospital.

It's not about whose servcies you wish to be on, not about your career. today is about me. this is a project I have been working on for a long time. and it's very important to me therefore it will be important to you. so today you are not 15 indiv. doctors you are a team representing SGH/.... clear???


Mer: why need so many doctors for one surgery?
Bailey - 12 surgeries - 6 kidney transplants at the same time. matching kidney donations. 6 way swaP. 6 people donate to strangers. 6 people get from strangers. everyone walks away happy

9:49 Kid is getting ready for surgery, all excited because he knows about it - wants to see everything - george tells him he will get to watch entire surgery on camera after is over. Kid wants him to start now!

9:51 Izzie is doing great job in surgery. Alex looks on pissed from gallery. Mark says "cowboys don't have friends" when Izzie looks up.

9:52 Mer is also (surprise!) doing a great job in surgery. Hahn says Xtina is better teacher than would have thought. Mer says sorry, Hahn says colleague knows more than you, milk em for all they're worth, but lie to me about your experience again and the next heart you see will be your own while I cut it out with a steak knife.

9:53 Tumor guy is in recovery wife is afraid he will never forgive her. He was sick and she told him he was lazy and boring and threw things at him. Shes his wife, she should have known... Izzie makes speech that makes me cry, given current things:

Izzie: People are terrible to the people they love sometimes. They're mean. You were both having a hard time and you took it out on each other. It doesn't make you the worst wife in the world. It just makes you a person who made a mistake.

Cut to Izzie, Mer and Xtina are dreamily back on derm couch, talking about their day. We are not happy, glowy people, says Xtina. Yeah, they say. We need to get out of here, says Xtina. Yeah

9:54 George passed!!! He's not an intern anymore! We are so gonna celebrate says Lexi. He runs off to tell Izzie and Mer. Lexi is realizing shes losing him. 9:30 Mer and Xtina practicing on grapes for kid heart surgery. Still hanging out in Derm. Xtina says being in derm like watching the living freak show, resident over there is dragging b/c he got Too Much sleep last night.

9:31 Bailey says I don't talk about sex! Then she says the Va Jay Jay is an untravelled country, like going to Africa, have to know how to prepare, like know how to um, get to the embassy. LOL. She says, just talk about it. Find out how to gracefully say is you don't like, the um, local cuisine. OMG That was more than Bailey can handle and now she runs out of scrub room.

9:32 George comes in,needs one of them, now all three of them are sitting on couch in derm, Izzie says that Xtina has found a magical world where doctors are happy and patients are pleasant and no one is screaming or stealing surguries and everyone rubbing each other. Xtina... they just.. love lotion! Do you know how much easier our lives would be (without bloodlust or wanting to cut people open) if we just loved lotion.

9:33 George is telling them to snap out of it. He drags them all out, even Xtina, whose shoes are off. Tells Izzie there is always a lady in the saloon that they are all scared of in the WWW, and Izzie says that chick is a prostitute.

9:21 Eww they have to pull down the guys face to remove. Someone twitches and the guy is blind. Izzie tries to tell Shep that Alex stole his patient. Derek repeats, he doesn't give a crap about your personal problems. I am not your roommate in this hospital. Mark says surgery is like wild west. Alex is a cowboy. Izzie, not so much.

9:23 Mer uses Xtina's lines to impress Hahn. Hahn is going to let her sew some part of the heart back somewhere. Hahn is looking lustfully at Callie. Smiling, Bailey is giving her "the look". Now the guys got an excuse for sleeping all the time. His tumor the size of a baseball. He wants to go through with the surgery *dirty look at wife* got nothing left to lose.

9:12 Do we have this kid under control or do I have to call social services? Chief asks. Hahn replies that she has it under control. Chief says with the damn ceiling falling last week he doesn't need a series of false alarms, SGH looks ridiculous enough as it is. Keep the ankle biter under control says Hahn to Mer. Mer says she will sedate him if she has to. This kid is like 8. Hahn says she doesn't want to be bathed in Mer's ignorance and incompetence so bone up on Medical speak

9:13 Hahn made reservations for her and Callies date. Xtina is helping Mer sound like she knows what shes doing so Hahn is not as mean to her. Lady in free clinic says of Xtina - no she's the mean one! I don't want her!.

9:14 Stevens gave the Neuro remote guy to Alex. Derek and he are going to pull something out of his head the size of a baseball. Duncan doesn't want an IV, b/c it's going to hurt. George says it only will for 3 seconds. George lets Mer put an IV in his arm to show the kid how long it hurts. The kid says ok. The parents exhale. The father compliments. 9:15 Bailey is bitching like she does about her residents and Callie isn't listening b/c she's super nervous about her date with Callie. She goes into some gory detail about what they haven't done and her lack of experience. Bailey gives her the dirtiest look EVER.

Chris is on staff to massage dermatology residents... The girl is first year resident, having clearly, quite a different year than our surgical crew.

9:02 It takes a certain brand of crazy to think of drilling into someone's skull, but surgeons have always been a confident bunch. We don't always know what we're doing, but we act like we do. We walk into a country, plant a flag.
