( Lexie + other interns looking for Alex) It's what we all dream about. because the 1st person who gets to fly solo in the er... kindof a badass ( chief holding court w/ our crew, lexie peeking, reporting.. "it's Karev... no stevens.. Izzie breaks Xtina's balls about being ineligible b/c of knowing about self mutilating interns) EWWW DDD is hanging out w/ Izzie at work! No ! it's grey! ( no)

Bailey puts them in their place: None of the interns are lipreaders... you have to wait for the attendings to vote, just like when I won.. Yes I won. I was good. I didn't cut LVAD wires.. my interns didn't perform surgery on themselves... I was specialk youn, special, and black! I just went about my work and waited for my name to be called.

Closing Mono: Sleep is the easiet thing to do. Just close your eyes. ( Sloan carries sleeping girl to bed) (Mer bitches out Sadie and says as a doctor she questions her ability to even do it well and as her friend wtf is going on w/ her. Sadie doesnt know.) But for so many of us, sleep seems out of our grasp. (Der thanks Sloan. Sloan reminisces about how his mom would take him to Ders when he was tired and lonely to sleep over in a house with a big family. That was a good thing. Looks at hudddled humiliated terrified Lexie, So either you take her home or I will.) We want it, but we dont know how to get it. ( Xtina comes home to find Hunt on her doorstep. She invites him in, he say that would be inappropriate. She asks if he wants to go someplace else. He says nothing so she sits on steps with her. He tells her he thinks shes beautiful.) But when we face our past, face our fears) Mer comes home sees Lexie and goes to see Der makes sure a bed is made for her. Says you brought home a stray.( And turn to each other for help. (Alex getting ready to go out. Izzie admits to Alex shes a flat out freaking mess and he deserves better. he says if she doesnt want to be with him, its too much for her, shes gonna have to break up with him. Because he's not going anywhere. he can handle the mess. And then invites her out. DDD stands dejected in hallway. Izzie apologizes to denny for going out. He says hell be right there.)

Nightime isn't so scary, because we realize we aren't all alone in the dark.

In the Midnight Hour to 5th break

Interns sitting in hallway convinced they are going to jail. George wants to know why Lexie didn't come to him. She says this is the last thing she had done in months that wasn't about getting him to notice. Someone says, Dude, she's like in love with you how could you miss that? Lexie looks over catwalk to chief with that face. Izzie get paged 911 and DDD says hes not going newhere. Couple is being lovingish. He says hes been taking her crap for so long, now she can take some of his. Then he tells Alex that he is here for his wife, but he thinks it's best for their sex life if he is here for here from the lobby.

Back to night tremor guy. Looks like Der was right and Hunt and he are working in harmony. Chief to Mer and Xtina He is mad b/c he was finally sleeping. Mer can't believe it. Chief says they handled the crisis, the surgery, saved that girls live, and called for help right away. Makes mention of past desicions. Dumb Lexie burst in and thinks they are getting in trouble and blurts out that Xtina told her to shut it down yesterday Chiefs face changes - You knew about this! Yang says she only knew about sutures. mer says shedidnt know. Starts screaming at Yang. Yang thought she had handled it. Mer blames Xtina for Sadie almost dying and Lexie almost losing her job. Xtina says Sadie did to herself and she doesnt even like lexie. Tells her she is not an attending just sleeping with one. Is it always about Derek? Mer asks. Xtina says no that mer wasnt there for her in that room. She has a relationship to the chief, he listens to her. Xtina said she should have said something to defend her. In the Midnight Hour to 4th break

Mer and Xtina furiously working on Sadie. NO code team b/c not in an or in the middle of the night, Mer sends Lexie to page chief and take that crazy look of her face.

Sloan and Der. Sloan talks about kid being tired must be scary going to bed at night not knowing what you're going to wake up to. Der says sounds like living w. Mer. Sloan says he never thought about Lexie until Der planted seed.

Intern comes up to Bailey. Says emergency in outpatient surgery but wont say what just please please come.

Night tremor guy and sexy der: They want to run tests think has epilepsy problem is way worse than he is aware of. He says no, he just needs to take his pills and he forgot them. Girl says no he didnt forget he took them when he brushed his teeth, put her to bed, and woke up screaming. Like he has always done since ( I cringe to type this) his wife died. I try to stay awake at night because I can usually talk you back to bed but I must have fallen asleep that night. She thinks that the nightmares caused by stress and she is his stress and he takes care of her so well during the day and she feels that she has to take care of him at night. Humanized Sloan tells her nightmares not cause by stress but epilepsy. So its not my fault she asks? No, honey. Hugs

Izzie and Dear Dead Denny, who henceforth will be known as DDD. She wakes up alone. Screams his name he appears in doorway. She yells that she thought he had left her alone again.

Open to the intern surgery Sadie wants to see and they get her mirror. her appendix is inflamed. One intern panics and wants to call a resident. Sadie tells her to leave if she cant handle it. Shes gone, baby, gone.

Cut to little girl w/ night tremor dad. Sloan wants to check his stiches. Little girl starts talking to him, asks him to apologize to Der, because if she had been able to get him back to bed, she sometimes can talk him back to sleep. Sloan says but this hasnt happened for a while...right? yeah right. Sloan wants to know last time she slept. She just said shes not tired.

Lady with stomach pain. She has been diagnosing herself using the internet, bought antibiotics from overseas to treat a staff infection her ass husband thought was a pimple. and her doctor. and after she took the drugs they went away. Ass says pimples do that. Alex says now she has killed all the healthy bacteria in her body and now she has CDIF and they need to give her new healthy bacteria. He tells her what they have to do..She screamsPOOP! I need a POOP TRANSPLANT! EWW it goes up her nose into tummy~ Alex goes on to say the donor has to be someone who shares the same germs every day, like, um a spouse. OMG he says he will not shit in a cup for her until she admits it was a pimple then walks away.... ROFL

Intern who ran out of surgery club is double fisted with chocolate. Xtina and Mer are suspicious, no one has seen other interns. She screams she doesnt know anything and runs, but not b4 they take her candy. Mer says Sadie says the idiots have skill lab. Mer tries to talk to Alex about Izzie. he says he has to go give his crap patient some crap.

Lexie approaches mer she looks TERRIFIED. Xtina walks in on Stinky with charts. he is in a bed and the chart is covering his stomach he refuses to go with her when she says she needs him. He says he cant walk due to the epidural...

Cut to Izzie and Denny poistcoital. She remarks she can hear his heart beating but she knows they took it out for the autopsy. He keeps insisting it's real.

Intern Surgery Fight Club. They gave stinky 2 an epidural. Sadie walks in mad she was not invited. stinky pees himself. Sadie tells Lexie Mer said she was a priss which is a lie... Cut to Joe's bar. Callie, Xtina, and Sloan, Hunt by himself. Xtina looks at him, Der and Mer in bed reading. Der wants to know stories she won't let Sadie tell him. Der says was nice to see her stand up for Lexie and how he told Sloan to stay away. So he gets a story. Xtina runs out after Hunt, apologizing for lost patient. He gets in her face repeating I don't need you to be sorry then looks like he's going to go all True Blood on her but kisses her like he's going to swallow her whole huge head instead of biting her.

Closing Mono: The ties that bind us are sometimes impossible to explain (burning sweater) they connect us even after it seems like the ties should be broken. Some bonds defy distance and time and logic. (Izzie walks into room and Denny is sitting there, being annoyed he burned sweater. Tells her to stop freaking out.,He is there for her.( Is this her brain tumor?) Tells her to touch him. He is solid. Oh man. They kiss.)

Opens up on pretzel and his titanium leg surgery. Sloan compliments callie.

Heart guy - he's ok with just his own heart. He says he's finally free, not haunted Nemore. Dixon says b/c heart had 6 years to rest and healed itself. He says you have your beliefs, I have mine.
Chief comes into pretzel - they are doing really well. Dr. Yang gets complimented on how good Lexie's stitches r. LOL. Crashing.. sad music...

Izzie with heart for Heart guy. She wants to know what to do with the haunted piece. He says brun it, he can't touch it, including belongings. Can't cleanse fabric, spirit to cling to it. It looks like it's time to get rid of the dear dead Denny sweater. And it was so fetching!!.

Pretzel guy dies on table. Callie is extra sad b/c of Erica.She starts yelling about how she built his bones and all that they had to do was keep him alive. She starts repeating, I made his bones, and crying hysterically. No, not about her failed twicebianism or nething, really about the bones.

Greys from 11/13 to 4th break

Open to Mer and Der talking, Mer wants Der to tell Sloan to step off flirting with little Grey. No, not that little grey.

Sloan and Callie at board, he asks her if shes OK.

Back to spiritual ritual heart dude. Izzie is being v. helpful, guy wants to know why she is so interested. She starts talking about Denny to him and he asks if he is here right now, the ghost. Now guy doesn't want her on surgery, doesn't need extra ghosts in his operating room.
Der telling pretzel guy he is slowly bleeding to death. Hunt is trying to talk him into surgery. Der tells him about a free rehab halfway housey thingy.

Bailey telling Dixon about this and that RULE to deal w/ her, mainly to give the heart to the guy so he can do his rituals on it to cleanse whatever. Bailey's got her - it works, all she has to do is say it's a rule.

Gallery - Izzie ignoring Denny. He says she's acting like she doesn't want hi to be there. She says she'd have given nething to see him one more time, looking at him and knowing she can't touch him is hurting her. Means she's sick b/c he can't be real and how can she hope for that. he tells her he is ar real as her, to touch him. She won't, wants to know why he is there. Callie looking at guys Xrays trying to figure out how to build new legs. Mer's friend is a new intern. Xtina snippy w/ her.

Bailey asing chief to wish religious and spiritual beliefs of patients, b/c of heart guy and Dr. Dixon. Says she understands rules, not common courtesy.

Xtina runs up to Dixon, starts kissing ass. Dixon asks her if she is on her case, if not why r u talking to me. Now Xtina misses Hahn. LOL. Callie says shes def not coming back, Xtina says why, not like shes ure Gfriend... Sloan and Callie look uncomfortable. They talk about it, Sloan calls Callie a Oncebian.
Der tries to talk to mer. She ust says, Really? And asks Lexie if she's ok. They think she's mutilating herself hahaha.

Hunt and pretzel guy. He wants to die in peace. Der is in doorway, catches Hunt with some seriously empathetic bedside manner RE: being a soldier w/ the homeless pretzel, saying he couldn't connect.

Lexie wants to shut down business. Mer's friend is there. Mer's friend is new queen B around here among interns in like five minutes. She takes her scrub shirt off and cuts her shoulder, asking who wants to stitch her up. She's got an accent btw.

Greys from 11/13 to 2nd break

Back to pretzel guy, screaming blue murder. Guy instructs them to get their hands off them. Tells him they are just trying to keep him alive.

Bailey and Dr. Autixon. She is spouting facts. Alex is telling her about case.

Izzie and Older native American man Denny is hanging out in background. Guy hates that his heart came from a girl killed hitchhiking.. He is freaking out about having part of someone else's body sewn into his chest, Denny is yelling to them. Dr. Dixon tells the guy he'll die a sudden and agonizing death and he stops talking about having the heart removed.

Lexie and Interns have a hangout space, tells George to go find his own.

Back to pretzel, He is talking about how much he walks every day..Oh, he's homeless. If he can't walk, he's screwed, says don't want surgery unless it will make him walk. They have to listen.

Native American guy and Dixon talking. Izzie says something. Denny is still hanging out with her.

Sloan and Der arguing w/ Hunt about leaving pretzel there to die. Der asks callie to build man legs. Urgh.

Greys from 11/13 to 1st break

Open: Izzie and Ale in bed, waking up.
OPening Mono: It's intense, what happens in the OR. When lives are on the line and you're poking at brains like they're silly putty ( izzie takes dead denny sweater from closet and sniffs it like a K9 looking for drugs.) You form a bond w the surgeons right next to you. ( Cut to Callie lying alone in bed looking at empty pillow)An unbreakable, indescribable bond. It's intimate, being tied together like that. Whether you like it or not, whether you like them or not, you've become family. ( Xtina barges in on Mer and Der waking up, says Hahn is gone)
Der opens door to tall blond, who goes running into bed w/ Mer calling her some nonsense name. They start giggling. Xtina feels super left out. Xtina bitches to Der about it. LOL)

Hospital. Mer and Blond continue their lovefest. Girls name is Sadie.

LOL. Izzie is doing the Denny stand outside and stare thing, tells Ale the oft repeated "Gimme a minute" He acknowledges the case bringing up blah blah and kisses her.


Lexie covers up her track marks from practicing w/ other interns. Alex starts telling Xtina about new head of cardio.

Dr. Hunt helps tina on w/ her yellow thingy that goes over scrubs. Xtina asks Callie about Hahn and she won't discuss.

Pull up ambulance. Guy impaled on himself. Human pretzel - he was in dumpster when began to get crushed. Hunt asks Der for help.
Bailey and Chief, he wants her to Woo Dr. Dixon. Chief says shes a little off.(Dixon)


Dfr. Dixon looks like Red riding hood. The lady seems either OCD or Autistic. HUH.

Back to pretzel guy. Getting ready to pull leg out of his chest. Gross sounds. Horror movie sounds. Guy was unconscious but wakes up and starts screaming when leg comes out of his chest... Really, reallyloud.

Rise Up to 6th break

Sloan is flirting with Xtina again. She still isn't responding. He wants to know what her deal is. He's been hitting on her all day. She starts laughing. He screams out that it was Shepherds idea. LOL. Says Xtina is not single malt scotch but cheap red wine.

McbadAss is not sure he'll be staying. everyone disrespectul and caugth up in their personal lives.

Bailey found the room of cadavers. Says it's gross, treat them with respect not laying half open and forgotten about. Tells them to close them up, cover them up, and put them back. NOW.

Wife of beating victim is there. McBD wants her to know they are people, have names, etc. She closes door behind her, sits down, tells him dad died when they were in car accident, how her hands felt his heart stop beating. That's why she does this. That's why she wins the contests. The patients name is Tom.

Poor old guy walks out alone. George brings STAN back to life and cheers. LOL. Nice job says mcbd. george says tks, just a robot. McBD leans into robot and says he wants to take back what he said about leaving. George looks up and realizes chief is talking for STAN. Lexie walks into interns doing IV practice and joins in. Xtina and Mer lying on bed, Der comes in. Huh. Callica walking out, says went to Chief about Izzie and he shut her down. Erica says is going to report it to UNOS. Callie gets mad. Going to call UNOs and cost her her career, the hospitals status as transplant center... Callie says unless u were there u can't make a judgement...She says there is no kindof here, you can't kindof be this, that, and you can't kind of be a lesbian. Callie says Yes I can. LOL. Izzue and Denny..Izzie tells him he can't be there, she has to move on. Why she had that patient.. Denny disappears, Alex shows up.. She is happy and relieved to see him, her present....Then Denny shows back up again, and says, R u sure you're gonna be ok??

Closing Mono: We r born, we live we die. Sometimes not necessarily in that order. We put things to rest, only to have them rise up again..Life is the most fragile, unstable, unpredictable thing there is. In fact, there's only one thing about life we can be sure about... it ain't over till it's over

Rise Up to 5th break

Opens back up in old couples room, same scene...Bailey ttries to make him stop pushing on her chest, he pushes her away...

Back into heart surgery, trying again... Izzie is talking to guy, doing good job...Sees Denny. He is smiling. Guy is losing consciousness. Close up shot of Denny.

Xtina and Alex fighting over beat up guy. Lexie yelling at Xtina cuz won't let her do anything.

MCbadAss yells at the three of them. and tells them to get out of there, saying they have no respect and act like vultures. Damn he's an ass.

Back to old guy. He is breathing in oxygen or something from Bailey. They are saying the second he stops doing what he's doing her heart will stop and he says he doesn't want to let her die.....Bailey takes over.

Izzie and Denny lock eyes. izzie starts talking to heart guy again... Doing good again. He finally breathes a huge breath...It worked.

Back to old man, Bailey finally stops..

Rise Up to 4th break

Ext Seattle. Lady made it through surgery, Der telling husband not sure how she will respond, and she might not make it through the night. Husband says waiting is hardest part, kneels at her bedside, holds her hand. Im crying.

Mer finds Izzie, asks her is hiding from Hahn. Mer tells her to go talk to her. Izzie says she can't even look at the guy, it's her fault he's here.

McBadAss and Xtina working on beat up guy. Callie is babbling, oversharing. Sloan comes in, Xtina has to scrub out. Xtina wants to know why Lexie smells like death. Xtina gets excited, trades Alex something for a couple cadavers. Nobody will let Lexie do anything. Mer tells Izzie how she saw Denny and Mom and Kyle. Izzie asks, today? Mer says no, when she was dead.

Izzie stands outside of heart guy's room, and apologize to Hahn. Hahn is making Izzie be there if he does another procedure. Guy has decided not too.

Izzie says if you die, she will not get over it, she will not move on, she'll think she can then all the sudden she'll almost think she can see you, touch you and all this will happen all over again...

Old lady's husband is freaking out. She's coding and he is reconsidering DNR. Tells guy nothing more they can do. Husband starts talking to her....Crying... Very very sad. I'm crying again,.. He starts doing cpr and says don't leave me, stay with me rosie over and over.... omg the monitor starts beeping again... Oh I'm a mess now...
